Hardy trees, shrubs, and perennials are covered by our Burnett’s Guarantee***, this means we guarantee your plant will return, in the appropriate growing window, the year following purchase.

For the best start for your plant, we offer our Grow Success Kit. This kit includes a high quality starter food, our recommended soil for enhancing your existing soil and mulch to insure your plants maintain healthy soil and moisture. When you purchase and plant with our Grow Success Kit, using the recommended amount for your project, your guarantee is extended to include the second spring after planting.
For the most peace of mind, have Burnett’s do the planting. With the Grow Success Kit and a prescribed watering program, your Burnett’s Guarantee is extended through 5 growing seasons. Ask a nursery team member about planting options.
In order to be covered by the Burnett’s Guarantee plants must be planted in the ground, mulched, and watered regularly.
Please, remember that plants are living things and can sometimes have growing pains and awkward phases but are still healthy and very much alive. We can problem solve issues to help you ease your plants through these tough phases but will often prescribe patience. Contact us at the first signs of trouble so we can help!
Plants that are damaged by sheer neglect, rodents, deer, snow, drought or other forces of nature and mechanical damage from lawnmowers/string trimmer and the like are not covered by the Burnett’s Guarantee.
How the Burnett’s Guarantee works:
Reach out to us in store or via email at info@burnettscg.com. We usually begin by asking for photos of the full plant, including the base where it is planted in the ground. Occasionally, we may also need the plant brought back to the store for inspection. When a plant fails, we try hard to help determine what may have gone wrong so we can help you have the most successful garden experience possible.
Should we determine a plant is covered by the Burnett’s Guarantee, we will issue a store credit to your account for the purchase price of the plant. You can use that credit to replace the exact item, if it is available, or purchase anything else you choose. This is a one time credit, any plants purchased with a credit are not covered by the guarantee.
***Plants purchased by retail customers at 30% off or higher are not eligible for the guarantee. Plants purchased with a landscaper/trade discount are not eligible for the guarantee.
